Injectables & Fillers
‍‍Dysport, botox, & dermal fillers

Injectables are used to relax facial wrinkles and folds (such as “smile lines”), contour the body (such as reducing the appearance of a “double chin”) and improve the signs of facial fat loss by creating structure, framework and volume to the face and lips.

Neurotoxins (also known as Xeomin, Botox, Jeauvueu, and Dysport) are injectable solutions that are effective for offering temporary blockage to nerve receptors in the muscle. These blockages help to prevent the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. The technology can be used to treat over-reactive bladder, muscle spasms, muscle stiffness, and excessive sweating. This cosmetic treatment has ranked as the number one non-surgical procedure since 2000.

Botox is the most reputable neurotoxin available in the market today. As the oldest neurotoxin, its use and effectiveness have been confirmed by several studies. Botox contains additive proteins, which protect botulinum molecules from external influences. However, it has been suggested that the protective proteins may render the botox injection less effective since some people may create antibodies against these proteins.

Dysport uses smaller protein molecules to induce muscle relaxation. These smaller proteins are less likely to be broken down by antibodies. Some people have experienced faster results with Dysport, noticing a reduction in only 2-3 days while Botox can take up to a week to appear.

How long does it last?

The effects of all neurotoxins should last 3-4 months, sometimes longer. As we age, the duration tends to be shorter. There is a period of time that the injection takes to wear off and the body to regain the ability to trigger muscle movement. For this reason, it’s important to establish a neurotoxin regimen to maintain optimal results.

How Long Will it Take Before I See a Difference?

Botox: 5-10 days, Dysport: Within 24 hours

How Many Injections do I need?

Depending on the area being treated, there are multiple injection sites. The eyes usally 3-4 each; the forehead can be 3-9; the area between the eyebrows 5-7. At Beaty By Barr, patient comfort is our highest priority. We use several distraction techniques as well as use specialized needles that are smaller than typical neurotoxin injections.

Dermal fillers increase skin volume by enhancing hyaluronic acid levels in the skin. As a result, the skin is revitalized, and fine lines/wrinkles fade out quickly. Dermal fillers are administered as an injectable soft gel underneath the skin surface to boost facial contours and improve skin volume. At the same time, these cosmetic products smoothen wrinkles and make the skin more pliable.

This product offers several treatment benefits for various individual aesthetic needs. Different formulations can be used to achieve desired results across various specific treatment areas. To achieve a more youthful look or address aging signs appearing on their skin, one might choose to enhance certain features or shape and contour specific areas such as their cheekbones, lips, etc.

Galderma has developed what looks to be the world’s most effective assortment of hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers using two complementary technologies. By implementing these complementary technologies and their unique gel consistencies, skin therapists can achieve well-tailored and truly individualized results for their patients.

Sculptra helps the body to replenish collagen that has been lost due to aging. It will take about six weeks to notice the influence of Sculptra as the effect occurs naturally beneath the skin surface. However, clients are advised to visit the clinic for Sculptra treatment at least three times over a few months.
